IS NATE FEHLAUER
Nate was born and raised in Wisconsin, where he spent much of his youth engrossed by comic books, album art, and pretty much anything with skulls and battle scenes. He graduated with a BFA from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, where he focused on using art, design, and illustration as both a storytelling tool, in a fictional narrative sense, and as a marketing tool, creating compelling branding.
He has been designing professionally for over 20 years, mostly in the Milwaukee area. Past clients include: Sony, Nintendo, Gatorade, Anheuser Busch, Garmin, Ubisoft, and Big League Chew. He has also very much enjoyed working on illustration projects for book covers, concert posters, album art, and T-shirts.
In 2016 Nate started up his own design company called WISCY JONES CREATIVE. The goal is to continue to provide clients with clean and concise design that communicates a unique story in a unique way. Concept AND execution are both equally important as is close communication with the client throughout the whole design process.
Ok. So why “Wiscy Jones”?
When Nate was a teenager, he and his friends spent many hours getting into all sorts of clever mischief. Models were built and destroyed, massive murals of medieval violence were painted, and movies were made! One in particular was titled, Wisconsin Jones, an obvious homage to the greatest film series of all time, Indiana Jones. Featuring an 80s metal soundtrack and car stunts performed by 16 year olds, the movie was a cross between Monty Python and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Rather than Indy, as the nickname, our main guy was called “Wiscy”. So there you have it. Wiscy Jones. It’s the symbol of a youthful creative spark and a taste for action and adventure.
